Everything You Need to Know About Pokémon TCG Paradox Rift So Far: Card List, Release Date, and More
Ancient forms, TMs, and Ace Specs, oh my!
The Pokémon Trading Card Game is about to get a big shake-up with the upcoming Paradox Rift expansion. While we don't have all the details yet, Pokémon enthusiasts across the globe are already excited for new items. This new set marks the fourth main-line expansion for Scarlet & Violet, joining the likes of Obsidian Flames released last August and 151 this September.
In this blog, we'll talk about what we know so far about this new set, when it's coming out, how many cards it has, some cards we know about, and what products to buy if you want to get the best bang for your buck. Let’s get started!
When is Pokémon Paradox Rift coming out?
The Paradox Rift expansion is set to launch on November 3, 2023. This date has been officially confirmed by The Pokémon Company. But before that, you can check out the Pokémon 151 special expansion this month or the Obsidian Flames expansion released in August.
How many cards does Pokémon Paradox Rift have?
One exciting thing about any TCG expansion is the new cards it brings. Paradox Rift doesn't disappoint here. It's going to have a big set of 182 cards in its base set, so there will be lots to discover.
The set is confirmed to have: 13 Pokémon ex cards, 7 Tera cards, 15 Special Illustration Rare cards, and 34 Illustration rare and Supporter cards. You can also expect 28 Ultra Rare full-art etched cards and 7 Hyper Rare Gold etched cards in the mix.
Apart from that, we’re looking forward to the introduction of Paradox Cards, as well as the Ancient and Future forms of certain ‘mons. What’s more, we’ll also be seeing the return of Technical Machines (TMs) as Pokémon Tool cards, which can be attached to your Pokémon to help them learn new moves, and Ace Spec cards, which have been missing in action for more than a decade.

When Paradox Rift is in shelves this November, fans and collectors will be spoilt for choice. Here’s what’s coming:

If you want the most cards for your money, the Booster Display Box is your best bet. If you want more product, the Elite Trainer Boxes come in two designs, featuring different Paradox Pokémon, and they include 11 Booster Packs plus extras like card sleeves, energy cards, dice, and a special promo card. And if you want something in the middle, the Booster Bundle contains 6 Booster Packs, each with 10 game cards.
With Paradox Rift coming soon, Pokémon TCG fans have a lot to look forward to. There are tons of new cards to collect, and with various products to choose from, November 3 can't arrive soon enough.
