Rising Rivals

Titan Cards offers a wide variety of Pokemon Card Singles from the Platinum: Rising Rivals set of the Pokemon Trading Card game including common, uncommon, rare, rare holo and LV. X cards.

Rising Rivals was the second set of Pokemon Cards to be released for the Platinum series of the TCG. The English release arrived on May 20th, 2009 and contained a total of 120 cards.

Like the Platinum base set before it, Rising Rivals continues to be based around the Pokemon Platinum videogame and puts a particular focus on Platinum's gym leader and elite four setup. Many of the Pokemon featured in the set are owned Pokemon, specifically owned by the Gym Leaders and Elite Four of the Sinnoh region. A number of previous expansions had featured Gym Leader owned Pokemon such as Gym Heroes and Gym Challenge, but sets that featured Elite Four owned Pokemon are rarely seen, with the last instance being in EX Power Keepers.

Rising Rivals contains 13 rare holo cards, 3 secret rare cards and 9 LV. X rares - the main set of cards was complimented by the release of two theme decks named Drill Point and Cutting Edge.
