Evolutions was the thirteenth Pokemon Card set to be released in the XY series of the Pokemon TCG, the set is largely a shoutout to older fans of the series in that it contains enhanced reprints of cards from the original series and features mostly first generation Pokemon, this set formed part of the 20th Anniversary celebrations of Pokemon as a franchise. The English release of the set came on November 2nd, 2016 and featured 113 cards in total including secret rares.

But the set was a bit more than just a reprint of old cards, the cards were enhanced and the set continued theme of Mega Evolution and EX Pokemon. In total the set includes 12 EX Cards, 5 Mega Evolutions and 4 new BREAK cards. Like most expansions in the Pokemon TCG Evolution's was complimented by the release of two theme decks; Pikachu Power and Mewtwo Mayhem.
